Ring Size Guide: How to Measure at Home
Ring Size Guide: How to Measure at Home

No sizing kit? No problem. A strip of paper, a ruler, and a few minutes are all you need to find a reasonably accurate ring size at home.
What you'll need
A thin strip of paper (about 10cm long and 5mm wide works well), a pen, a ruler, and — ideally — a ring that already fits the finger you're measuring for.
Method 1: Measure a ring you already own
- Choose a ring that already fits the intended finger comfortably.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the internal diameter — the distance straight across the inside of the band, in millimetres.
- Compare that measurement against a standard ring size chart to find the closest match.
Method 2: Measure your finger directly
- Wrap the paper strip around the base of your finger, where the ring will sit.
- Mark the point where the paper overlaps, then lay it flat and measure the length with your ruler — this is your finger's circumference.
- Match this measurement against a ring size chart to find your size.
Tips for a more accurate result
- Measure at the end of the day, when fingers tend to be slightly larger than in the morning.
- Avoid measuring right after exercising, or in very hot or cold conditions — temperature affects finger size.
- Measure two or three times and take the most consistent result.
- If you're between two sizes, it's usually better to size up slightly, especially for wider band styles.
